Ok, I should be sleeping now because I have to get up early tomorrow to be punctual for my SEP talk but honest-to-goodness, I really don't feel like going but I'm afraid I'll miss out on important stuff so I will do my best to wake up early tomorrow morning despite it meaning that I'm going to wake up early this entire weekend. Woots.
Ok, so the nightmare of tutorial registration has finally ended after much drama in LT27. Lolz. Got my 8A and 8B slot, which is 3-4pm on Tuesdays. Obviously not the slots that were on top of my list but still, it's not too bad. At least my Wednesdays are still completely free for lab. No rushing here there everywhere for tutorials, lectures and whatnot. Speaking of which, I've read through the CM1121 lab manual and I have absolutely no idea whatsoever as to how I'm going to carry out those experiments. Though I suppose that problem will prove to be nothing when compared to the lab reports I'm going to have to rush after that. URGH!!!
Funny how my life condition seems to be rather low these 2 weeks. I haven't been exerting myself hard enough. I think Derui's going to be disappointed.
I really cannot afford to be complacent this semester! How many times do I have to tell myself that? My arrogance is really resurfacing and I really need to push it back down. But sometimes I really can't help it. LSM1401 and LSM1302 are essentially teaching the same thing now, which I've already learnt back in JC. But the funniest thing is, I can't seem to solve all the problems set by the lecturers. In fact, I've got most of the questions set by Prof. Seow for LSM1401 wrong. It's a sign.
I was supposed to have completed my CM1121 tutorial and memorise my Japanese vocab tonight, none of which I've done, all thanks to Piper, Phoebe and Paige. Yes, I've been watching Charmed on YouTube. All those episodes that I missed. I love the sarcasm and language they use in it, as well as Alyssa Milano ;)
SEP talk, SYM training and district zadankai... Loooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg day waiting for me tomorrow... Ciaoz...

Ok, today history has re-enacted itself. Rushing for hogging of Chemistry tutorials is really no joke, especially when it opens at 11am and your damned computer chooses to lag or hang at 10.58am. Really will cry. So I got neither 1A nor 1B, so in the end had to settle for 8A and 8B, Tuesday 3-4pm, which I guess I don't mind la. I initially wanted 7A and 7B but that would have meant rushing down from FASS immediately after Jap and Saito Sensei likes to drag her lectures, so I guess I shouldn't risk it ba. I'm a little peeved cuz I have to rush to LT32 for genes and soc after my tutorial, which I really don't like cuz tutorials usually end on time, meaning I gotta run to LT32. Thank goodness the lecturer usually doesn't start on time.
As for my Jap tutorials, I got 2 out of 3 slots that I wanted, which I suppose is good fortune, considering these 2 slots that I got are die die must get de, otherwise sure die that kind. My Friday one isn't all that good because it's from 12-1pm, which means I gotta rush to FASS immediately after LSM1401 with Prof. Seow and according to Chia Ling, he sometimes ends late, which means I gotta leave early. =.= hello webcast... This also means I have to miss a large part of Friday lunch. SIANZ!
I still haven't got the momentum to study. I really don't! Even though this is already the second week and I'm supposed to start preparing for tutorials, I haven't started on anything. I really need to get my engine started le. I promised myself I'd push my CAP up to a second upper class this sem. I WILL NOT SHORTCHANGE MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!
SYM training this weekend. Looking forward to it!!! でも あなたには 会えないよ。残念ね。

It's been another short break since I last blogged. Listening to Scar of Time now... Thinking of something... and someone...
School's been really boring so far. I don't know how I'm going to keep my interest in organic chem if this is the way my lecturer is going to keep teaching. I'm really getting bored to tears in her lectures, even though, according to Eugene, she's supposed to be one of the better lecturers in the Chemistry department who teaches higher level modules. Oh well...
Band has also been a challenge. Having Craig sitting beside me is really a stressful thing, especially when you hear how well he plays. It just makes me feel ashamed to say that I've been playing the flute for 6 years. Urgh. And it doesn't help that the standard of the pieces compound my problem now. Haiz.
I love listening to flute pieces. Makes me feel so at peace with myself, even when I'm emoing. I like it when I have these few minutes just for me, myself and I. Helps me detach myself from everything I'm doing and pull myself together.
SD Kenshu daimokukai tomorrow at TSC 9am. I should sleep soon.

It's been another hectic day on the IVLE. Met Sok Koon and Chia Ling at 8.30am at Frontier today to snatch the CM1111 lab slot. I think now I can fully appreciate what NTU students go through when they are fighting for their modules. The hot slots taken up jumps from 0 to 75 in, like, 3 seconds. =.=
I think I like Tuesday lectures best of all. LSM1401 and LAJ2201. For LSM1401, I think Prof. Seow has the clearest and most normal accent of all my lecturers for my core modules. His sense of humour is not bad too. Really want to make sure I score for my LSM1401, especially since I think the content is not difficult. What is difficult for this module I think will be the application questions that he will set in his examinations ba. A standard similar to what Prof. Chew set for MA1421 mid-term test back in sem 1. >.< As for LAJ2201, Saito sensei really talks very quickly. It's a good thing I have background beyond what she teaches, otherwise I doubt students can catch 100% of what she's saying. Furthermore, the way she teaches the て-form isn't really all that effective. Or maybe it's because I've been with Bunka for so long already, that's why I prefer their method of teaching. Though honestly, I really don't think how anybody actually listening to Saito sensei teaching it for the first time can understand the lecture completely, even if they've done their prep studies before coming for lecture.
Went to Arts canteen with Billy, Sok Koon, Yu Siang, Yong Qiang and Yihuang after Jap class today. Didn't know Yihuang was taking Changing Landscapes with Yong Qiang, Yu Siang and Sok Koon. Wish them joy of it. The only time you'll catch me taking a Geography-based module will be over my dead body. Had a good, long chat with them while waiting for Jia Liang and Jiahao to give me their confirmation on whether we were meeting Yihao or not. After spending nearly 2 hours in the Arts canteen, I ended up not having to meet them. A bit =.= but nvm la, since I had a good time chatting with them anyway.
Tomorrow's a free day! WOOHOO!!! Though it won't be for long, since I'll be starting lab in week 3. Lab reports again... Sigh...

Ok people, after waiting for so long, I'm finally going to write my first post for 2010~!!!!
So sorry for making all my die-hard fans wait this long for this post because I really have had zero motivation to blog about anything since I came back from Taiwan.
Right, so what about my Taiwan trip? To be honest, I wasn't really terribly thrilled while I was there. It just sucks big time when you fall sick on the very first day of your trip there and have to f***ing tolerate the nose goo that drips out of your nose every other minute together with the incredible sore throat that usually comes with it. *roll eyes... But I do think Taiwan is a place worth visiting though. For those who don't know, Taiwan is a country that literally rose from the beneath the sea, something I learnt on my trip there. The travelling between the different parts of Taiwan was nothing short of terrible, especially when you're travelling along the mountains along this narrow road and on your left are the mountains and on the right is the Pacific Ocean. No such thing as proper fencing to prevent your vehicle from toppling over. If you topple over, that's it. But the view of the Pacific Ocean is really nothing short of magnificent. It looks really clean and beautiful and the way the water sparkles as the sun rays hit it just adds to its grandeur. Nothing like the miserable beaches we have here in Singapore. Honestly, as a Singaporean, I'm ashamed of the water in our beaches. As for shopping in Taiwan, the night markets in Taiwan are really an eye-opener. Nothing like the pasar malams we have here either. I really wanted to try the chicken chop at the Shihlin night market but the queue was long enough to span half an MRT station, so I gave up on that. The smelly tofu really smells to high heaven. You smell it before you see it. Oyster omelette I think is a little overrated. Not everywhere sells a good version of it. Can't remember where I ate good ones already, hahaha.
Ok, enough about Taiwan. Wanna know more? Go visit my fb account. All the pics are there.
Just came back from 4D1 '04 chalet today. First time we had steamboat instead of a bbq. Kept losing at mahjong over there. Haiz. Guess not everyday's a sunny day. We played Taboo twice there. Every time it came round to Kai Liang, the words that he got somehow would manage to put down yi yi de, for some reason. Hahaha. Yi Yi also damn funny la. "I'm what?" Then the replies would be "Spastic! Idiot! Stupid!" And it turned out the answer was "Cocktail" and he was trying to make us guess the first part of the word. Couldn't sleep well last night, all thanks to yi yi's snoring. Not kidding, his snoring is capable of waking the dead. =.= I really miss 4D1 loads. This year we're all turning 22 liaoz. Feels so old. Haiz.
AND I'M SUPER HAPPY THAT I MANAGED TO GET MY WAIVER FOR LAJ2201!!!!!!!!!!!! I honestly felt the sensei that interviewed me was going to put me in Jap 3 lei. Was so worried about it. Haha. Ok, now it's a matter of how many pts I'm going to have to invest to get this final module for this sem.
I think my Prowler series will end here. Hopefully inspiration will come again soon, which shouldn't be difficult, considering the crazy sem that awaits me. Ciaoz.
