Okok, due to complaints about my blog becoming dead, I shall, at long last, update my blog.

Well, so many things have been happening in my life that I really haven't had the mood to blog. Ok, so let's see. What's been happening?

Firstly, relief teaching. To all teachers and teachers-to-be, if any of you have the illusion that teaching in an independent school is an easy thing, please WAKE UP YOUR IDEA!!!!! I, for one, really miss teaching in a mainstream school after having taught in both. The workload in a mainstream school was easier, at least for me. Ok, for those of you who still have no idea what I'm talking about, I did relief teaching at the beginning of term 3 at NUS High School for 6 weeks. Dear Mr. Murali arrowed me a year 3 and year 6 module to teach. Year 3 module was organic chemistry, which was fine, since it really was quite easy, content-wise. The shitty thing about this module is the amount of marking I have to do and the number of meetings I have to attend. In NUS High School, the system pretty much follows the poly and uni system, meaning every module counts towards their final score. So I can't be too strict about my marking and I have to discuss with my other teachers for this module on how I should mark their worksheets, practicals and tests and make sure everything is as close as possible.

The year 6 module was more of a bitch, because I was teaching separation science, something I'm only learning this semester. So it was a crash course with Mr. Murali in the HOD room before I went into my year 6 classes to teach. And students there don't simply accept what you say in the classroom. After going through every other statement on my ppt slides, somebody will raise their hand and question me on what I'm teaching. Ok la, I shouldn't complain. It was really good training for me and cmon, where else can you get free uni tuition like this? Hahaha... Oh and don't be shocked, I'm not kidding. Year 6 students are learning what I'm learning now in NUS Year 2 Chemistry.

But despite all this, I still love my students, especially my year 3s. Maybe because I was too nice to them la. XD

Next, YOG!!! The final performance yesterday was just AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! SSA's "Playing with Fire, Pushing the Limit" item was just amazing!!!! The dragon head successfully moved up the ramp and the pyros all went off amazingly well!!! We really did Sensei proud!!! Photos will be up soon, I promise!!!!

Ok, that's all for now. Band ex-co meeting later. On a Sunday! =S =P

just realised i haven't blogged for nearly a month. i need somewhere to vent my feelings and here seems the perfect place to do it.

i really don't know how i'm going to pull up my CAP for this semester. i only have 3.9 from last sem and this sem doesn't look like it's going to do me any favours. organic chem sucked. lsm1401 sucked. and to top it off, today's inorg chem sucked too! woohoo! hat-trick! how in the world am i going to pull up my cap to a second-upper CAP? 4.0 really seems to be getting further and further away from me.

i really don't want to sink below all this negativity but sometimes it really just seems so hard for me =( i still have my genes and society and japanese to go. i need to ace these 2 papers if i'm to salvage what's left of the wreck that i've caused for this semester.

low life condition now, though i really have been chanting hard to elevate it.

Ok, so SYM has finally ended in a wave of joy, tears and hugs. Shall not talk more about it here since I've more than expressed my feelings on Facebook, so do visit my Facebook for details =P

Today got to know the average score for Japanese 2. It's about 36. I, standing at 41, am only slightly above average, meaning if I continue at this rate, I will kiss my A goodbye. I need and want my A for Jap! This test has finally given me the slap that I need to realise that having background and liking Jap is NOT ENOUGH!!! I MUST PUT IN MORE ELBOW GREASE TO GET MY A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to closing ceremony this Friday!!!!!!!! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE ALL MY FELLOW SYM COMRADES AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I've just gotten back my Jap mid-term test paper and I'm totally disappointed with the result I got. Zzz... 41/50. Okok, I know it looks like a good score but I was expecting 45 and above. Really disappointed with my reading comprehension. Can't believe I answered the question in Japanese better than the one I answered in English. Looks like I can't continue being so slack about my Japanese anymore. But I don't know how I can improve on it. I mean, I maxed out grammar and vocabulary. It was mainly my listening and reading comprehension that pulled me down. Oh man, really disgusted with myself.

SYM is also drawing to an end. Looks like I missed out all the fun at the last rehearsal... ='( X 10000000... But I mustn't feel sad... This is NOT THE END!!! It's the dawn of a new beginning!!! Will pump in my best for the last 3 shows that I have!

As SYM draws to a close... what do I see before me?

Today marks the end of the first four shows for the English cast of SYM 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy that we were able to move so many people in the audience to tears and I really really love the fact that we are so bonded together and can chiong all the way! How I wish we had SYM everyday!!!

Kudos to Chia Ling and Yu Siang for coming down despite the rain and I really hope you all enjoyed the show, though, as Chia Ling said, my part was a bit short. But I'm not the main focus!!! The main focus is that you all enjoyed the show and understand a little bit more about Soka... =DD

Really don't feel like going to school tomorrow. Would I be in the mood to listen to Lam Yulin and John Yip? I highly doubt. Lolz.
