Soka's 80th anniversary has come and gone! Omg... I think this really was the best Christmas that I've spent in my entire life!!! It really was great being part of the green SD/FD group and getting high with everyone around me. Towards 2017 and 2030 together everyone!!!!!!

A lot of things have happened these hols but as usual I'm really too lazy to pen down everything, so I shall just blog about whatever that comes to mind.

Had my first round of ICT this hols. It was really very very slack and I'm very thankful that I have been posted to this unit as a cyberwarrior. And it's great that I have a great group of ns men in my team that we can talk cock and get along really well. Apart from the fact that it wasted my time, I think my first round of ICT went pretty well! =D

Next came the MOE scholar seminar on public policy making. It was quite boring but I particularly enjoyed the talk with the principal of Teck Whye Secondary. He was a really engaging and charismatic man who was able to talk and engage his audience very well. Learnt a lot from him. And I think the group at my table was by far the most engaging and entertaining group out of all the 10 groups in the entire seminar. How often do you get a group that can talk intelligently and talk cock at the same time? XD But one thing I couldn't stand was that some of the scholars that aired their views at the seminar seemed to have this common mindset, which was shown in the way they asked questions. "As most of us here are not from neighbourhood schools, we might have some problems adjusting to neighbourhood schools when we are posted there." Like what the f*** is that supposed to mean? What do you mean by 'most of us are not from neighbourhood schools'. If you took GP in jc, this fallacy would be what we call a 'sweeping generalisation'! $%@$#!%@#!

Apart from that, also went for the asd chalet. Surprisingly i could still click with most of the ppl there and we had a really good discussion between the YMDs and YWDs on the first night, which I found to be quite illuminating. Hahaha. It was also quite something to receive my results on the last day of the chalet. I even got Dixon to read my results out to me one by one when I finally received my result via sms. >.< eh you can't blame me right. one whole sem's worth of effort is condensed into one sms. it's really too much for me to take it all in at one shot. hahahaha. but i'm really super hyper duper grateful to Gohonzon that I'm able to retain my 2nd upper class CAP score and even managed to push it up a little. Really very very thankful le, especially since I've been predicting for almost the entire semester that my cap would drop this sem. Really very very grateful.

And for now, I need to go crack my head over scores for the band. Need to rush out the scores for the band by next week and Craig and Ian have yet to confirm their pieces with me yet. >.< Hope I'll survive.

And finally, bidding is starting this week! I want my Jap 3 and SSS!!!! RAWR!!!

Suddenly felt like blogging, so here i am...

These hols really have been so busy. came back from asd chalet, learning so much more abt asd, the good and the bad. but it really felt GREAT to b wif my dear asd again! damn shagg when i came home. napped for 3 hrs but apparently wasn't enuff, even after a good night's sleep later on that night. oh well, can't be blamed. i only slept 6 hours over 3d2n XD

Today went for my moe seminar. Thought it'd be super boring and it mainly was, but i'm really thankful for the wonderful group that was at my table and i was really happy and impressed that we could talk intelligent stuff and talk cock at the same time! looking forward to day 2 tomorrow. woohoo!!!

Just came back from nussd dmkk. great to see yu siang, wei han and jia xin finally appear again after so long. learnt the dance and cheers for the sis performance. ok la, learnt the dance before le, so was quite easy for me today.

And everyone's been talking about results recently, since yesterday was results day for nus. i'm really very very thankful for my result, considering i managed to maintain my cap score and even managed to push it up a little bit, especially since i got a B- for my cm2101. but that mod i nv get C i super thankful le, so no complaints. =)

And lastly, my 'Invisible Armour' is finally taking shape!!!!! can't wait for the full version to be out! must make sure i record the full song before nic rao flies back to perth. hahaha. i think this must be a record. a song that took more than a year to fully materialise. lolz!

so still got plenty of things to look forward to! YAY!!! =D

hope you'll get to listen to my 'Invisible Armour'. =)

Amazingly, people do actually still pop by this page in hopes of reading a new entry. To all ye few yet faithful, here's a new entry to reward you, after all these weeks.

I don't know what I should feel towards these holidays. It feels like everything's been planned out for me and I hardly have the time to really do what I want to do. After exams ended, I headed almost immediately for Australia, which, to be honest, I didn't really enjoy. Quite sad. And this week, I'm rushing to print scores for next week's band prac and almost driving myself crazy over the scores, as usual. My first round of ICT is coming up next week =S burn up a whole week of my holidays and end up I can't go for band camp T_T Kaiyi's wedding will come up immediately after that. Because of Kaiyi's wedding, can't go for SIS training and NUSSD institution mtg (not blaming you gal, it's great you're getting married!). Then after that, going for ASD chalet and the dreaded results day falls on the last day of ASD chalet. I must remain strong!!! Lolz... SIS celebration on X'mas Day and 4D1'04 chalet on 7-9 Jan.

Why did I type out my entire schedule on blogspot? Shouldn't it be done on my iCal? LOLZ!

I need to cherish whatever time I have this week. Chionging attendance for institution meeting and scores for wind sym at the same time is really not an easy task. Though having said that, it doesn't mean all work and no play. Catching a movie with Tuan Kiak tomorrow! Super long time never watch movie le.

Sinyee actually asked me to give her Japanese tuition. And the craziest thing is, I actually agreed! Omg, my jap dunno how long never touch liaoz. Hopefully I can still recall enough to teach her. She said she just needs someone to discipline her into revising her jap la. Hopefully that's true =P ちょっと 緊張してる。

I'm really happy that my crime fiction got an A-! Haha! Ok la, to be honest, I was a tad disappointed because I honestly was hoping for an A. But one must be grateful. I honestly hope this will be the first and last time I write 15 pages alone for the rest of my life in NUS, with the exception of my FYP thesis. Lolz!!! To all who are interested, do lemme know and I'll drop you a soft copy of my story.

Gotten myself hooked on "The Big Bang Theory" recently. That show is HILARIOUS!!! I caught 2 episodes of it in Australia and I've been hooked on it ever since. Trying to get glimpses of what I can on youtube. A bit lazy to find the full episodes =P Sheldon rocks!!!! HAHAHA!!!

Ok, shall stop here today. See you guys again many weeks later! XD

You must jiayou too! Will be rooting for you with daimoku. =)

Couldn't think of anywhere else i could scream at, so i'm back here after more than 2 months. pretty sure nobody checks back here anymore, so i guess it should be safe to just unleash everything that's been plugged up inside me.

Why do NUS Chemistry students have to do soooooooo many lab reports? 1 per week is fine but when the deadline is delayed due to content not covered yet, they all crash together and in short, simply f*** my life upside down. I could be spending that precious time doing revision for my other modules, to write my crime fiction, to all sorts of important things...... no i've got to waste my time doing all these USELESS LAB REPORTS!!!! Not as if the TAs really do read what I write. Tick tick tick tick tick... As if everything I write there is correct like that =S

I'm really running very short of time now. Despite that, I'm still blogging now because I really need to unleash the stress that I've been feeling. And anyway, I feel that I've got a bit of time now since I've finished 1 lab report ahead of time, so I have a couple of minutes to spare to unwind before I really go crazy. I really lack a lot of practice for a lot of modules. I think worst is analytical chem... I'm only good in separation science and that's only cuz i taught it last holidays at NUS High. Thank goodness for that. I'm 3 weeks away from exams and I'm only this prepared? gg liaoz...

And as if to rub sand into my wounds, I have an inorg test coming up next week, and 3 tests the following week. Somebody please tell me how i'm supposed to survive that week? And how am I ever going to find enough time to revise?

And to cap it all off, I'm missing you. Yes YOU!!!! I don't care whether you know or not but the bare, naked truth is I REALLY MISS YOU!!!! SO SO SO MUCH!!!! i can't show it... but it really hurts inside... gnawing away inside of me... bit by bit by bit... drowning myself in work doesn't help sometimes... i still think of you... you appear in my mind... in my notes... everywhere!!! it's tough for me to hold it in...

I don't have the looks
I don't have the money
I don't have the charm
I don't have the good fortune
But I do know that all I want to do is to love you, protect you, shield you...

Okok, due to complaints about my blog becoming dead, I shall, at long last, update my blog.

Well, so many things have been happening in my life that I really haven't had the mood to blog. Ok, so let's see. What's been happening?

Firstly, relief teaching. To all teachers and teachers-to-be, if any of you have the illusion that teaching in an independent school is an easy thing, please WAKE UP YOUR IDEA!!!!! I, for one, really miss teaching in a mainstream school after having taught in both. The workload in a mainstream school was easier, at least for me. Ok, for those of you who still have no idea what I'm talking about, I did relief teaching at the beginning of term 3 at NUS High School for 6 weeks. Dear Mr. Murali arrowed me a year 3 and year 6 module to teach. Year 3 module was organic chemistry, which was fine, since it really was quite easy, content-wise. The shitty thing about this module is the amount of marking I have to do and the number of meetings I have to attend. In NUS High School, the system pretty much follows the poly and uni system, meaning every module counts towards their final score. So I can't be too strict about my marking and I have to discuss with my other teachers for this module on how I should mark their worksheets, practicals and tests and make sure everything is as close as possible.

The year 6 module was more of a bitch, because I was teaching separation science, something I'm only learning this semester. So it was a crash course with Mr. Murali in the HOD room before I went into my year 6 classes to teach. And students there don't simply accept what you say in the classroom. After going through every other statement on my ppt slides, somebody will raise their hand and question me on what I'm teaching. Ok la, I shouldn't complain. It was really good training for me and cmon, where else can you get free uni tuition like this? Hahaha... Oh and don't be shocked, I'm not kidding. Year 6 students are learning what I'm learning now in NUS Year 2 Chemistry.

But despite all this, I still love my students, especially my year 3s. Maybe because I was too nice to them la. XD

Next, YOG!!! The final performance yesterday was just AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! SSA's "Playing with Fire, Pushing the Limit" item was just amazing!!!! The dragon head successfully moved up the ramp and the pyros all went off amazingly well!!! We really did Sensei proud!!! Photos will be up soon, I promise!!!!

Ok, that's all for now. Band ex-co meeting later. On a Sunday! =S =P
